Farm Supervisor

$20.00 to $21.00 hourly (to be negotiated)

Work site environment

• Fruit and vegetable combination farming
• Organic farming
• Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
• Harvest crops

Tasks

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Cultivate on vertical farming system
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non‑marketable lots
• Greenhouse cleaning
• Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
• Tie and secure plants
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
• Plant bulbs and seeds
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
