Endoscopy Technician II - GI/Pulmonary Endoscopy

The Endoscopy Technician II is responsible for performing delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the GI procedure room setting. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, will assist with direct patient care during procedures and assist the physicians with necessary equipment used during colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, as well as other ancillary procedures performed in the Mayo Clinic endoscopy procedural areas. Is responsible for multiple patient care roles and duties outside of the procedure room including recovery room, and endoscope reprocessing rooms. Sites with the Endoscopy Technician I position are also responsible for maintaining competency in current endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfecting. Is expected to perform in a dynamic and changing environment with changes in daily assignments at short notice. Patient care and teamwork is the priority.
