Design Associate I

Entry level responsibility, as a design professional, for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective designs, drawings and specifications in their discipline for assigned projects. Emerges to an independent resource and begins to coordinate work with other disciplines. Works to fulfill experience requirements for eligibility to take professional license exam.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conceptual Design
   1. Establish Discipline basis of design for Design Manager to review.
2. Detailed Design
   1. Analysis Ability
   2. Performs dimensional, interference and basic design checks on the layouts and sketches of Licensed Professional and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing sets.
   3. Performs analysis or calculations as assigned.
   4. Designing for Safety incorporated into drawings.
   5. Responsible for design compliance with Owner criteria.
