Cytotechnologist - Per Diem

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Cytotechnologist - Surgical Pathology - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate Works closely with Manager Supervisor/ Section Head and Staff Pathologists to deliver quality sample review and analysis. Performs specimen adequacy and accessions fine needle aspirations. Operates the telecytology microscope in conjunction with pathologists. Screens and interprets Gyn, non-Gyn and FNA slides.

Screens and interprets gyn, non-gyn and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) slides.

Reviews previous pathologycytology history for correlation with present specimen. Follows high risk PAP criteria for pathologist review of high risk negative PAPs.
