Customs Specialist
Employment Type: W2 Contract through Jefferson Wells
Pay Rate: Negotiable; approximately $38–45/hour W2 depending on experience
**Position Overview**
Jefferson Wells is partnering with a client to identify a Customs Specialist for a short-term contract engagement (approximately 6 weeks - possibility of conversion to perm). This role requires strong hands-on U.S. customs experience and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will support day-to-day customs operations, including inbox management, broker coordination, and issue resolution at the border. Canadian customs exposure is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
+ Monitor and respond to U.S. and Canadian customs inbox inquiries
+ Coordinate with customs brokers to resolve clearance issues
+ Support issue resolution, including:
