Job Description:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset registers in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Record the acquisition, disposal, transfer, and retirement of fixed assets
- Calculate and post depreciation and amortisation in line with approved methods and useful lives
- Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers to the general ledger on a regular basis
- Perform periodic physical verification of fixed assets and investigate variances
- Monitor capital expenditure and ensure correct classification between capital and operational costs
- Review and assess asset impairments, revaluations, and write-offs where applicable
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
