Provides tax support for intra-country and/or cross border projects such as system applications, business model changes, divestitures/acquisitions etc. Liaises with other departments within the organization and provides consulting for other organizational units within the area of responsibility. Appropriately involves Tax managers and/or external advisors depending on the magnitude of the issue/opportunity. Tax Compliance Ensures Company tax guidelines/procedures are followed and proactively modified for updates. Supports timely and tax-optimized preparation of financial statements, in cooperation with Accounting Management, and ensures timely tax payments. Coordinates the preparation of tax returns, examines accounts. Calculates taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations by required deadlines. Prepare the VAT refund files on quarterly basis. Cooperates with tax advisors in order to optimize tax burdens. May act as first accountable point of contact for tax authorities. Participates in all major decisions, e.g. acquisitions, divestitures, contracts and initiatives in the country, reviews business decisions with respect to taxation impact.
