Ready to get hands-on in a fast-paced laboratory environment? We’re offering exciting casual opportunities for Coal Technicians to join our team and play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality coal analysis to recognised international standards.

This is a practical, boots-on-the-ground role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who enjoys working both in the lab and onsite.

In this hands-on role, you will:

  • Conduct accurate physical coal sample collection from mechanical sampling systems and within a CHPP environment, ensuring strict turnaround times are met
  • Receive, record, analyse, report, sort and store coal samples with a high level of accuracy
  • Operate analytical and sample preparation equipment (manual and automated)
  • Plan and coordinate shift workflow, including sample pick-ups and testing schedules
