Every September, Axcis Education receives a significant number of requests from primary schools seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors and SEND Teaching Assistants to support children who are finding the transition into school particularly challenging. These are often pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1 who may be presenting with emerging Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, attachment difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, communication needs or behaviours that indicate they require additional support to engage successfully with school life.
