Backend Java Developer

Overview

This role focuses on building and maintaining backend microservices using modern Java (17+) and event-driven architectures powered by Kafka. The position involves working across distributed systems, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised cloud-native environments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices in Java (17+).
• Design and implement event-driven systems (Kafka preferred).
• Work with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Debug and solve complex problems.
