DEFINITION
: Provides leadership and guidance in initiating, developing, and improving the interscholastic athletic program for all students.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Maintain responsibility for organizing, administering, and supervising the operation of the school athletic program. Work with the county-wide coordinator of athletics in providing a quality athletic program. Initiate, organize, maintain, develop, and evaluate extra-curricular athletic activities. Attend all meetings involving areas of responsibility. Supervise the inspection of athletic facilities and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate school administrator.
