Adjunct

Overview


Adjunct is responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.


Responsibilities


+ Teach a minimum of one undergraduate level course

+ Prepare course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handouts

+ Be prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data

+ Support students’ learning goals by:

+ Focusing on student learning outcomes

+ Taking into account the needs and abilities of the students

+ Becoming familiar with academic and social support

+ Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences

+ Maintaining the academic integrity of the University

+ Being available to assist student in achieving their learning goals
