Call for Board of Directors Members

In 2026, Tangled Art + Disability celebrates 10 years of the Tangled Art Gallery and 25 years since our beginning as the Abilities Art Festival. We are a registered charitable organization with a mandate to support Deaf, Mad and disability‑identified artists, to cultivate Deaf, Mad and disability arts in Canada, and to enhance access to the arts for artists and audiences of all abilities. Tangled is located within a vibrant arts ecosystem in Toronto and operates as a cultural leader in disability arts across Canada and internationally.

As a disability‑led arts organization, disability and access touches everything Tangled does. We embrace disability and access through our board work, our interpersonal relationships, the physical space of the gallery, the artists we work with, how we present artworks and invite people into the gallery space, the ongoing conversations we have about disability and access, and the environment and community these things help to co‑create.
