Sourcing Buyer
Responsibilities:
Procures supplies, materials, services, tooling, and equipment for delivery at specified time or location.
Places and updates purchase orders for NPI launches, manages delivery of products and ensures timely delivery to eliminate potential backorders and stockouts.
Work with PMO team to update schedule on deliveries to ensure launch timelines can be achieved.
Work with Sourcing specialist on capacity planning and equipment requirements.
Manage any subcontracting process.
Plans, schedules, and monitors movement of materials through the fulfillment cycle.
Advises team of any actual or potential material shortages; work with Sourcing and Engineering to resolve any potential issue that may impact launch dates.
Ensures suppliers have complete product information to meet product quality standards and deliveries for production and assists with PPAP process.
