The primary purpose of this position is to provide packing, crating, freight loading, and related services in the Support Services Office, in support of all Division organizational units and other AFTC organizations. Assures safe movement of rail cars on the installation. Responsibilities Secures a variety of freight such as heavy, unbalanced machinery, vehicles and other rolling stock, aircraft parts, munitions, rockets, missiles; sensitive electronic equipment, and other odd-shaped cargo. Plans the construction of, and custom builds, wooden supply, storage, or shipping containers with exteriors of irregular shape and unusual size, and interior support brackets which must be custom cut and built to fit around, against, and at places of irregular size and shape.
