Blast Booth Operator

Talascend is currently seeking a Blast Booth Operator for a contract opportunity in Livonia, MI
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this position include product handling, prepping/masking product for blast, and safe operation of air powered media blasting equipment.
Operator will work in an enclosed booth, wearing protective suit, helmet, and respirator.
Prepare metal for painting through sandblasting
Prep/Mask parts as necessary using tape, plugs, etc.
Perform daily non-technical maintenance routines on blast equipment
Clean blast booth, filters, and surrounding area
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes according to safe operating procedures (with training and licensing provided)
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours daily
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. regularly
Maintain a clean and organized work area
