Summary This position is a Biologist, GS- 0401-12 working in Austin, TX or San Marcos, TX for the R2-Austin Ecological Services Field Office. Want to be in the vibrant Texas Hill Country? We are seeking a senior transportation biologist experienced with environmental challenges, good people and communication skills, and working knowledge of ESA section 7 policy and regulations. The position will join a team of 4 liaisons and coordinate on priority transportation projects statewide. Responsibilities As a Biologist your duties will include but are not limited to the following: The position will provide technical assistance and Endangered Species Act section 7 consultation to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) on behalf of the Federal Highway Administration under an interagency agreement for priority transportation actions.
