About the Company
BugSeq Bioinformatics is empowering clinical and public health microbiology laboratories to adopt DNA/RNA sequencing and transform diagnostic microbiology. We build BugSeq, an automated analysis platform that takes raw data and produces actionable reports, elucidating microbes and their complexities. BugSeq services many of the biggest hospital networks and public health labs globally.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop core features for a bioinformatics platform that is truly first of its kind
- Author scientific papers, blog posts and marketing material validating our analyses and comparing them to alternative methods
- Incorporate user feedback to design and build a better product
- Identify new technologies and best practices for our growing team
- Work with modern technologies like Python, Nextflow, Docker, Conda, AWS, etc.
