Job summary
To clinically verify systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) regimens in accordance with regional sites and in line with BOPA standards for the chemotherapy day units and the inpatient haematology ward.
To collaborate with the Lead Pharmacists for Cancer Services to ensure the provision of an effective, efficient, and high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy for all patients.
Liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide expert haemato-oncology advice, and make suitable, appropriate interventions.
Main duties of the job
To clinically verify systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) regimens in accordance with regional sites and in line with BOPA standards for the chemotherapy day units and the inpatient haematology ward.
To collaborate with the Lead Pharmacists for Cancer Services to ensure the provision of an effective, efficient, and high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy for all patients.
Liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide expert haemato-oncology advice, and make suitable, appropriate interventions.
Main duties of the job
- To obtain the BOPA SACT Passport (if not already held)
- To clinically verify SACT prescriptions on ARIA, including free-of-charge, early access medicine schemes and clinical trials
- To provide specialist pharmaceutical information in relation to SACT
