Responsibilities
- Trouble shooting, diagnosing, minor repair and complete overhaul of automotive gearbox, differential gears, rear axle and steering box.
- Perform quality functional testing for gearbox. Prepare all tools to mount and dismount product for test bench at workshop.
- Disassemble and re-assemble engine, transmission gearbox, differential and rear axle and any other sub-components of buses at workshop or at external maintenance worksites.
- Commission of new gearbox using Maker's diagnostic equipment or software and conduct road trials.
- Adhere to workshop Health and Safety procedures. Apply risk assessments at work.
- Daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining personal hand-tools and equipment to ensure functionality.
- Maintain all PPE in working condition to ensure their functionality.
- Possesses at least Nitec in Automotive or relevant subjects.
