Responsibilities The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Edgefield is part of the South Carolina Consolidated Legal Center, which provides litigation support to the United States Attorneys' Offices for inmate litigation arising out of several facilities including: FCI Bennettsville, FCI Edgefield, FCI Estill, and FCI Williamsburg. The legal practice of the South Carolina CLC covers a wide variety of issues focusing on correctional and constitutional law, which is a practice that relies heavily on constitutional law, tort law, and other administrative law. This practice is primarily civil in nature.
