Job Description Per Diem (On-Call)

Provides reception, customer service and information services to patients, visitors and the community. Assists in maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment and offering assistance to discharged patients who need assistance to a vehicle.

Job Responsibility

+ Welcomes incoming patients and visitors and provides them with pertinent information; follows policies and procedures regarding disclosure of patient information and appropriately directs to department and floor; recognizes the special needs of patients and families under stress.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of visiting hours for all patient areas; welcomes ambulatory patients and directs them appropriately; demonstrates knowledge of current locations of ambulatory offices, departments, laboratories and patient areas.
