Associate Director, Facilities & Operations

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Operations at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study manages facilities operations, space planning, construction and renovation projects, and building services across Gallatin’s multi-site footprint. In close partnership with NYU Facilities & Construction Management (FCM), Campus Safety, and central administrative units. This role ensures Gallatin’s academic, administrative, and student-facing environments are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and aligned with the school’s strategic priorities. The position manages operational workflows for Gallatin’s main campus spaces (Floors 4–8 at 1 Washington Place) as well as satellite locations including the WetLab on Governors Island, ArtBuilt Brooklyn studios, and additional teaching and event spaces.
