Assistant Station Manager – Almería

Rijk Zwaan is seeking a full‑time Assistant Station Manager to lead the day‑to‑day activities on a farm operation in Almería. The role involves vegetable production and seed business experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain crops and farm facilities, including greenhouse compartments, sowing, transplanting, nutrition, irrigation, crop protection, disease control, climate control, crop management, and general farm maintenance.
• Oversee equipment and greenhouse maintenance.
• Lead both temporary and fixed staff, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Coordinate with Station Managers and the farm team.
• Primary crops include tomato, melon, and watermelon – experience with these crops is desired.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Horticulture (Bachelor’s degree acceptable if accompanied by relevant experience).
