Assistant Residence Supervisor

Overview

The Department of Corrections seeks Assistant Resident Supervisors for our Matawhāiti and Tōruatanga residential facilities in Christchurch, Christchurch Men's Prison, until 30th June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a structured day with supervised activities and community outings, including driving residents when required.
• Support residents to solve problems that arise during daily activities.
• Ensure residents’ safety and wellbeing on all outings and on site.
• Promote public safety through effective planning, management and supervision of each resident.
• Participate in the creation and implementation of individual management plans and work with residents to achieve their goals.
• Model pro‑social behaviour and uphold Ara Poutama’s organisational values at all times.
