Assistant Professor of Biology

Hobart and William Smith Colleges invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology position in Cell Biology, specializing in eukaryotic systems, to begin July 1, 2027. We welcome candidates whose work intersects genetics, molecular biology, and other aspects of eukaryotic cell function. This is a full-time position with a teaching load of five courses distributed across two semesters. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and will develop an active, undergraduate-focused research program.

Teaching responsibilities will include Genetics with lab and an upper-level Cell Biology course with lab. The candidate will have the opportunity to make other contributions to the biology curriculum as well as the general undergraduate curriculum.
