Assistant Nurse

The post holder will work collaboratively with other team members, uphold and live the NMC Nursing Strategy to provide safe and outstanding care to patients and bystanders all the time, every time.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife, contribute to the overall planning and delivery of nursing midwifery care for patients, ensuring a patient‑centered approach.
• Assist in daily living activities for patients according to the patient care plan, including distribution of meals and hygiene assistance.
• Maintain a high standard of nursing midwifery care within evidence‑based guidelines and unit competencies.
• Demonstrate service excellence and act as a patient advocate, supporting patient dignity and rights at all times.
• Keep the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife informed of vital signs, observations, and care provided, and document appropriately.
