Asset Manager

The Asset Manager is responsible for the effective management, control, tracking, and safeguarding of all company assets and equipment throughout their lifecycle. The role ensures that assets are accurately recorded, monitored, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. He or she will:

1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register for all company assets and equipment.

2. Assign unique identification numbers and asset tags to newly acquired assets.

3. Record asset details including descriptions, serial numbers, locations, custodians, acquisition dates, costs, and warranty information.

4. Update the asset register to reflect transfers, disposals, losses, and replacements.

5. Monitor the movement and utilization of assets across departments and project sites.

6. Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation of assets against the asset register.
