This Aspiring Maths Teacher Program is offered as a “Earn, while you teach & learn” route – a Salaried Schools Direct scheme.

Key points about the scheme

• Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
• Employed directly by a school from day one
• Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
• Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
