Vacancy Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum of 12 years' experience as an Artisan Assistant, General Assistant or in a similar support role within the mining industry.
- Previous underground or surface mining experience.
- Experience assisting qualified Artisans such as Diesel Mechanics, Boilermakers, Riggers or Fitters.
- Basic knowledge of engineering hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Medically fit to work on a mine site.
- Basic understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
- Ability to work shifts, overtime and standby when required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in a mining environment.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
