Armament Systems Integration Engineer - Combat Trainer (Getafe)

Position for engineers specialized in modelling of weapon aiming & control calculation and sensor data integration and management within Airbus Defence & Space. The role is located in Getafe and will be governed by a Spanish contract.

Project Overview, Tasks & Accountabilities

1. This role focuses on system architecture, functional modelling, and physics-based performance definition of airborne weapon systems and targeting algorithms.
2. The engineer will design and define the behaviour of the weapon and targeting system before software implementation, providing the requirements and foundation for the software simulation team.
3. Model the behaviour and architecture of airborne weapon systems from an engineering perspective.
4. Design and develop mathematical and physical models for subsystems (sensors, weapon, etc.).
5. Develop and validate aiming algorithms (ballistic, guided, predictive, stabilized).
