Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Role Overview

Hooe Primary Academy is looking for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role involves supporting teachers and senior staff to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children, maintaining a stimulating environment, and contributing to the school's aims under the headteacher’s direction.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of teachers and senior staff to support child protection, safeguarding, and welfare.
• Contribute to setting aims and objectives of the school and implementing policies established by the headteacher.
• Carry out all professional duties of a Teaching Assistant as required.

Training and Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
• Behaviours, Skills & Knowledge
• Functional Skills in Maths and English at level 2 (if not already exempt through prior qualifications)
