Position Summary

The Paint Advanced Engineer serves as the technical authority for industrial paint and surface finishing processes, supporting manufacturing operations, new product introductions, and technology deployment. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, optimization, and standardization of paint processes to ensure product quality, cost effectiveness, safety, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities Lead and own paint and surface finishing processes including pretreatment, powder coating, liquid paint, and curing systems. Support NPDI programs by defining paint specifications, validation plans, and production ramp-up strategies. Develop and maintain paint process standards, control plans, and operating procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, cycle time, and material cost reduction. Analyze paint-related defects using Six Sigma and root cause methodologies.
