Alternative Provision Tutor

Position Overview

Permanent alternative provision tutor needed in Coventry to support a learner with core GCSE subject tuition. The learner has ADHD, ASD & cognitive development delay. The role is part‑time with a pay of £35.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Tailor sessions to meet the needs of a learner with a complex profile.
• Use trauma‑informed and pupil‑led approaches to foster engagement and progress.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with the student to encourage confidence and participation.
• Track and report on progress, adapting plans as needed to ensure continued development.
• Apply a trauma‑informed teaching approach consistently.

Candidate Requirements

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Self‑employed status and right to work in the UK.
• Availability during weekday daytime hours.
