TeacherActive is proud to be working with an ALN school in Ystrad Mynach, dedicated to supporting pupils’ academic progress alongside their emotional, social and behavioural development. Responsibilities

The successful ALN Learning Support Assistant will be supporting pupils across all Key Stages with Autism / ASD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, and challenging behaviours, requiring a proactive and adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with additional needs and disabilities
• Experience supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviours
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Team-Teach or MAPA training desirable
