The primary purpose of this position is to: serve as Airfield Manager, providing oversight of the Airfield Management function. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Airfield Management/Base Operations. Develops and directs the implementation of short and long term operational plans, policies, and procedures of base operations activities and airfield facilities essential to flight safety and flight operations. Oversees maintenance and operation of the airfield to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations. Represents the installation for all airfield management matters at various conferences, meetings, and one-on-one dealings with local officials, other DoD components, and other Federal and State organizations concerning management and use of the airfield.
