Summary The Heat & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Leader serves with responsibility for leading the HVAC Equipment Mechanics of the Heat & Air Unit, Maintenance & Operations Section, Engineering Service, Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (OKCVAHCS). This position works under the general direction of the Heat & Air Unit Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor at the OKCVAHCS. Responsibilities DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY: This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.201) for this occupation. Major duties include but are not limited to: Performs preventative maintenance inspections and tasks on HVAC systems and related components to determine wear, reliability and load capabilities. Installs and repairs air handlers and components. Installs, modifies, repairs all HVAC equipment in the building.
