AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Summary You will serve as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic in the Public Works Department of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Responsibilities You will diagnose, locate and repair malfunctions to the main operating mechanical components of large, complex heating, ventilation; air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVAC). You will lubricate moving parts and replaces air filters, v belts, electrical motors, pulleys, sheaves, bearings, fan shafts, etc. You will conduct visual and audible examination of equipment components by applying prescribed test procedures and equipment, and by explorations of probable reasons for equipment failure. You will perform maintenance, calibration, modification, installation, repair and replacement of analog and direct digital controls (DDC) systems and equipment.
