Position Summary:
 

The Career and Transfer Advisor for Public Services & Industrial Technology provides accurate information in the advising process including the following: career exploration, course selection, graduation requirements, articulation, transfer information, and career readiness preparation while considering the prominence of student retention for students in their chosen career program. The advisor demonstrates a good understanding of each Public Services, Business and IT pathway and the necessary pre-requisites. The primary focus of the advisor will be to assist students with selection of course(s) for educational goal, course scheduling and degree audits to ensure progress toward graduation and student success. Retention efforts will include holistic advising, referral to appropriate student supports, provide information regarding program of student interest, proper course sequence, and specific monitoring of progress of student who are not in college-le...
