The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is dedicated to ending cancer through exceptional patient care, research, education, and prevention. The Orthopaedic Oncology department provides state-of-the-art care for adults and children with musculoskeletal bone tumors, including osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, giant cell tumors, chondroblastoma, chondrosarcoma, chordoma, and soft tissue sarcomas. The department focuses on maximizing patient function through advanced surgical and reconstructive techniques while also managing orthopaedic conditions in oncology patients such as fractures, arthritis, avascular necrosis, and osteoporosis.
The Advanced Practice Provider plays a critical role in supporting inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic oncology care.
