Advanced Practice Nurse - Oncology

Summary The incumbent practices in Oncology Service as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The NP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. The NP practices to the full extent of their education, training, and certification. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Providing clinical care for veterans with diagnoses of genitourinary malignancy both in person at the Seattle campus as well as providing telehealth at other VA Puget Sound Health Care System campuses (American Lake, Silverdale, Everett). Determining whether the requests and the clinical history of the veteran make genetic and genomic testing appropriate. Interacting with veterans who have been identified as appropriate and interested in genetic testing to provide additional information prior to testing.
