Job summary
The Psychological Medicine Service (PMS) for older adults (65+) is seeking a compassionate clinician passionate about mental health care for older people. The older adult service is a small team working alongside the working-age PMS team at RBH. The overall service is a Core24 provision and PLAN accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The post holder will join a supportive, established team working with older adults admitted to RBH, spending 75% of their time with the older adults' team and 25% with the working-age team. The older adults' team works Monday-Friday, 9-5, while the working-age team operates shifts, so some shift work is required.

The service supports patients across the hospital and emergency department, often presenting with mental health or cognitive difficulties alongside physical decline, neurological, or neurodegenerative conditions.
