Advance Practice Provider (NP/PA): South Pointe Surgery II

Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs.
This Advance Practice Provider will serve a critical role in advancing surgical operations and patient care across multiple phases of the surgical continuum. The APP will serve as a first assist in the operating room, manage patients' medical needs in the PACU, and provide additional support through cross-training in post-operative rounding. Nurse Practitioners must be Acute and Family certified for PACU coverage.
