Job Purpose

To manage the efficient, fair and lawful delivery of disciplinary and appeal hearings at the RCVS.

Key Responsibilities

1. To effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of the Inquiry hearings function for disciplinary cases before the Disciplinary (DC) and Veterinary Nurse Disciplinary Committees (VNDC);
2. To effectively and efficiently arrange and manage the Appeals Committee hearings in relation to examinations, status and accreditation appeals;
3. Ensure that hearings are arranged and conducted fairly, legally and in a timely way, ensuring that they comply with statutory requirements, relevant rules and internal policies and procedures;
4. Ensure that notices, documents and information are written clearly and accurately and sent to relevant parties on time, and in compliance with legal and internal policy requirements;
