About the opportunity

In keeping with the new procedures for acting leadership roles at Dalhousie, we are launching a call for expressions of interest for the position of Acting Dean, Architecture and Planning for a term of up to one year beginning August 3, 2026.

Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, the Acting Dean of Architecture and Planning will hold overall responsibility for the leadership and administration of the two schools, ensuring alignment with key priorities for their continued success. The Acting Dean will cultivate strong, productive relationships with other Faculties and Schools at Dalhousie, as well as with external partners including accreditation bodies, professional associations, industry, government, and other universities and colleges.
