Accountant

Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Mill Park, Port Elizabeth team. Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes Ensure compliance with South African tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) Prepare and submit statutory returns Maintain compliance with Companies Act and other relevant legislation Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management Prepare management reports and variance analysis Monitor cash flow and working capital Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies Qualifications Grade 12 BCom Accounting or equivalent degree Completed SAICA Articles (essential) Minimum 3 years post-articles experience Experience in financia...
