An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS) at Barnsley Hospital as a Technician within the Decontamination Services Team. The team is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, compliant services at the right pace and cost to Barnsley Hospital (BHNFT) and other customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and service users. You will work as part of a team responsible for the effective and timely decontamination of medical equipment across a range of clinical areas, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines within a Quality Management System.

The role includes collecting equipment from theatres and departments, and carrying out disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, packing, and sterilisation of reusable medical devices, including flexible endoscopes.
