2nd Shift Precision Grinder

Job Description
An aerospace company is looking for a Precision Grinder who will operate precision grinding machines to produce parts according to established blueprint and engineering specifications.

Job Description:
- Perform setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC and manual ID/OD grinding machines
- Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications, including GD&T requirements
- Use specialized inspection tools (profilometers, air gauges, laser micrometers, etc.) to verify cylindricity, surface finish, and tolerances
- Adjust machine settings, offsets, and tooling to maintain precision and process control
- Dress and modify grinding wheels, tooling, and fixturing as needed
- Select feeds, speeds, and grinding media to achieve required results
- Perform in-process inspections and complete required documentation for traceability
