2nd Line Support Engineer- Manchester

Are you a 2nd Line Support Engineer with experience in Windows and Linux operating systems? The UK’s largest company within their industry is looking for a new 2nd Line Support Engineer in the South Manchester area.

You will be working as a 2nd/3rd line support analyst and supporting the 1st line analysts, liaising with external suppliers, the ICT team and business managers while reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Windows and Linux systems.
• Support 1st line support analysts.
• Configure and maintain Cisco routers, Sophos firewalls, load balancing/failover solutions and LAN/WAN architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server architecture issues on MS Server and Exchange platforms.
• Assist with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and XenServer.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal ICT teams.
