Long Term Occasional – Grade 5/6 Teacher

Reporting to the Principal of Grand River Public School, the Long‑Term Occasional Teacher provides continuous, high‑quality education during temporary absences of the regular teacher. The role supports student achievement and well‑being under Ontario Ministry of Education standards.

Position Details

• Duration: September 2 2026 – June 30 2027
• Full‑time equivalent: 1.0 FTE
• Location: Grand River Public School
• Salary range: $52,974 – $119,975 per annum (prorated for FTE, grid rate effective September 1 2026)
• Salary grid based on QECO rating and teaching experience

Required Qualifications

• Grade 5/6 teaching credentials and experience; junior designation acceptable.
